Interview to Steve Jobs

The interview broadcast on the television program "El Hormiguero", in 2009

Interviewer: Tonight I'm going to interview Steve Jobs, the co-founder and CEO of Apple and shareholder of The Walt Disney Company.
Good evening Steve Jobs, you're welcome to our program.
Interviewee: It's a pleasure to be here.
Interviewer: So I will start with the questions. What would you say to customers who just bought a new iPhone for $ 599? I'm sorry?
Interviewee:  This is technology, if they bought it this morning they should go back to the store and talk to them. If they bought it a month ago, well, that's what happens with technology.
Interviewer. So what about your agreement to distribute the Beatles music on iTunes? What is the status?
Interviewee:  We would love to have the Beatles. And it will end up happening... I hope that for the first half of the next year. As soon as they are ready, we will be too.
Interviewer: There's a lot of people that already have the Beatles music in CDs. Are you sure they will buy something they already have in iTunes?
Interviewee:  Yes, I believe in that. It's just what happened with the rest of the record industry.
Interviewer: iPod touch is really similar to iPhone. The only thing missing is the integrated camera and the telephone function in iPod touch. Are you worried about they could look too similar?
Interviewee: Well, I reckon they have similarity, but this is not something to worry about, because there's no rival, and we can't lose money.
Interviewer: It is speculated that in the future artificial intelligence will be one of the most important aspects of modern technology.
Are you worried that this may affect your company, or how can it be a way to innovate and increase Apple's popularity?

Interviewee: No, I think it will be a favor for us, because we have one of the best computer support specialized in robotics and artificial intelligence.
Interviewer: I'm impressed. I'm sorry Steve but we beat the interviewing time. Thanks for coming to our program tonight.
Interviewee: Thanks for inviting me, it has been entertaining.

This is the job interview with Camp U.S. For the position of English teacher of Ana Gozálvez:
-Interviewer: Good Afternoon, Ms Gozálvez. I'm Meghan Possi and today I will be in charge of your interview.
-Interviewee: I'm so excited to have an opportunity to apply for this work, I think I will be a great English Teacher.
-Interviewer: Let's get started. I've taken a look at your CV and I would like to ask some questions about it.
First of all, why have you applied for this job?
-Interviewee: Well, as you have already seen in my CV I have a B2 level of English. I really enjoy learning english. Watching films on Netflix motivates me to learn even more, and I've always found english easy. I'd like to share this passion and knowledge with the kids at the camp, so they can learn this language and manage to watch videos in english, hold conversations, or read books.
-Interviewer: What do you consider you biggest flaw?
-Interviewee: Definitely laziness, I tend to procrastinate a lot when it comes to deadlines, and yet I manage to finish it all, correctly and at time. But this won't happen in this case, I ackdnowledge the situation and I have already made up my mind about the importance of teaching these kids.
-Interviewer: Just one last question, why do you think we should choose you?
-Interviewee: Well, first of all my level of english is good enough to teach these kids the basics of the language. Also, since I'm very passionate for this job and this language, I think that shows when I teach classes. I consider passion as a very good quality and  necessary for the job, because when you are passionate about the subject you teach, the students perceive it, and they are more likely to be eager to learn.
-Interviewer: Well, that's everything. As soon as we make a decision we will call you or let you know through email.
-Interviewee: Thank you very much.

-Good night to all of you and thank you for assisting in this interview with Steve Jobs the co-founder and CEO of Apple inc.
Good night Mr. Jobs it's a pleasure for all of us having you here tonight with us.

-Good night, I'm very happy to be here too.

-The first question I want to ask is where the idea of creating a PC comes from?

-Well, my friend Steve Wozniak at that moment was working for Hewlett-Packard,  propoued them to create a PC and they denied the idea, so he resigned and Steve, Ronald Wayne and I create the Apple 1. It was very simple but we sold out and we continued with the business since today.

-And the last question. What you think it's the most important for a person to create his own business?

-Mmm, challenging question isn't it? The first thing is having a very clear idea about what kind of product do you want to sell, and how to do it the best way possible, I mean by making it accessible for everyone or getting superior quality. Also is important to set goals to reach, like producing more, get more money or improve the factory or the material that are been used. And about the character, it's important to have leadership, however, charm and know-how to talk with people and get the support, to summarize, being kind with your mates and costumers. It's also vital to have abilities like problem-solving or working under pressure are essential abilities. Nevertheless, it is imperative to have teamwork skills.

-I'm sorry Mr. Jobs but we are getting out of time, anyway thank you for being here tonight I hope you could come again.

-I do too.

-Good night.

-Good night.

Steve: My favorites subjects were physics, mathematics, and technology. I wanted to do something related to physics.
