Nowadays music is something that the majority of people like, but many of them can't pay for all the music they listen to so they decide to practice piracy.
Music piracy is something that causes millionaire loss on music studios and also to the artist. This is not a problem for big recording studios but for little studios and singers who are starting the career can be a demotivation for them. That cause that many singers have started to make their music free to download to avoid piracy and get known by people.
On the other hand, some years ago, people who listened to music were obligated to pay exorbitated prices for just one song and people used piracy to listen his favorite songs. Luckily the things have changed a little since then, now, people who listen to music very often can get a subscription to music platforms like Spotify, youtube music, apple music... and they can listen to downloaded music without practicing piracy.
