SPEAKING TWO LANGUAGES HAS OBVIOUS PRACTICAL BENEFITS IN AN INCREASINGLY GLOBALIZED WORLD

Nowadays, in the current globalized world, speaking two languages has important practical benefits and, therefore, bilingual people are highly valued. However, being bilingual requires a lot of effort on a personal and work level. For these reasons, there are arguments for and against being bilingual.

One of the main advantages of speaking two languages is being able to communicate with a large number of people. This is very important, not only to travel to other countries, but also to access a good job. In a globalized world, most companies look for bilingual people to develop their business.

However, speaking two languages has some disadvantages. It involves hard work and much effort to know a second language perfectly. Furthermore, it also requires learning the new vocabulary that it is emerging with the new technologies.

In conclusion, I think everyone must be well prepared to travel and work in a globalized world, and for this reason it is necessary to be bilingual.

DO YOU BUY MUSIC OR DO YOU PIRATE IT?

In recent years, record companies and music artists are fighting against music piracy because they have suffered significant losses. However, others consider that the prices they charge to the music are too expensive and, then, it is better to pirate it. The question is whether to buy the music or pirate it.

On the one hand, record companies lose a lot of money due to pirate music and, therefore, musical artists too. The consequence of this is that the effort and creativity of the musicians will not be fairly paid because the resources to create a record or make video clips will diminish.

On the other hand, CDs prices are too expensive and, then, there are people who can't buy them. However, if it is pirated, everyone could enjoy of the music.

In conclusion, despite the economic advantages of pirating music, I think that we should buy it and respect the work and the rights of music artists and record companies.
