Should the government make substances such as alcohol or tobacco illegal? This is a question that has a lot of controversy among scientists and professionals who study it, in addition to its importance in today's society.

Although it may not seem like it, alcohol and tobacco are as addictive as many of the other drugs, because they have caused more harm than many of the others in a large period of time.

Furthermore to being able to cause you addiction, these drugs can make you a dependence on them and can cause you unpleasent evils. A clear example of dependence on these drugs is when you need to isolate yourself from your problems and concerns using them as a ''cure. ''

Apart from that, an excessive use of tobacco can cause a lot of damage in our body, such as respiratory and heart problems. On the other hand, the alcohol does not fall short. Just as tobacco affects our body, the presence of alcohol affects our surroundings, like our friends, family or other relationships.

To conclude, of course you can afford a regulated use of these drugs as long as you know how to control it. Therefore, before using these addictive products, think about the impact that can cause on either your body or those closest to you.
