As we know the government forbid the sale and consumption of some addictive substances, of which we could say "more addictive" or "stronger", but in other ways other addictive substances such as tobacco or alcohol are totally legal, both their consumption and the sale of this. Should the government make these illegal substances too?
Throughout life there have been many studies on this very controversial topic, in these it can be seen that there are many more people who have died from alcohol or tobacco consequences than from other substances such as marijuana or cocaine for example. . Clearly this is due to the fact that alcohol and tobacco are legal drugs and therefore much more usual and normalized consumption in society, in other cases the other drugs are much more taboo.
Logically looking at the statistics made by the studies we should think that banning these drugs would be the right thing, but honestly from my point of view the problem is not in the drug, neither in the legal nor in the illegal ones, no matter how much they are harmful to health. The problem is in the excess of consumption of these, since in my opinion if we were all responsible for their consumption there would be no problem, since the majority of drug deaths have been for example traffic accidents having consumed a lot of alcohol or diseases derived from excess consumption of drugs such as alcohol or tobacco.
Therefore I believe that all drugs should be legal but with a control on their use.
