Governments from all around the world watch out for his compatriot's health by building hospitals, making the country safer and also making illegal some substances that can be prejudicial for our health, but is this always that way?
Is proved and know by everyone that substances like tobacco and alcohol are prejudicial for our health and still legal.
In my opinion, governments should create special taxes for tobacco, because unlike alcohol, tobacco can create health problems not just to the person who smokes but all people who are around him, and maybe people that in the past have had any intervention can get several problems for being a passive smoker.
About alcohol, I think that is only dangerous for your health and if you drink you know what are the consequences, but governments should be more strict with people that make illegal thinks when they are drunk, like traffic accidents, I think that the prison sentences have to be higher and also with economic punishment related with the capital that the person posses to avoid rich people to do what they want.
To summarize, governments don't have to illegalize any of them in a short period but try to make the people renounce to drink and smoke should be a better option to difficult people access to these substances.
